Health insurance plan presentation. At Ramsgate Consulting we are dedicated to providing our clients with the most personalized level of service that can be found anywhere. We have specialized in senior, individual/family and group health insurance plans in California since 1990.  We are a California based company working for Californians. We offer group vision insurance plans for businesses with five or more employees and dental insurance plans for businesses with two or more employees. For businesses with less than two employees and for individuals and families, dental insurance is available on an individual basis.  Additionally, since 1985, we have been assisting our clients in selecting term and/or cash value whole life insurance for their individual and family needs as well as for business needs such as buy-sell agreements, key-man insurance and deferred compensation funding.

Our mission statement includes treating each client individually as though they were the most important client to our company. We start by ascertaining your unique insurance needs and then search through the leading insurance carriers for the policy that will best fulfill those needs. It is not enough to provide you with a brief sketch of 15 or 20 different insurance plans and leave you to figure out which one would be the best for you based on nothing more than comparing a premium quote coupled with deductible amounts and co-pay percentages. There is so much more to selecting an insurance plan and a carrier. How long has the carrier been in business? What is the carrier's record for the timely payment of claims? How difficult is the underwriting process? How strong is the carrier financially and will it be in business if and when you need it to make good on the policy and pay your provider's claims? The true cost of an insurance policy is so much more that merely the premium!

At Ramsgate Consulting, we won't bury you in quotes and options. WeHealth insurance plan presentation. will, based on your specific needs, provide you with information on the 2 or 3 insurance plans we believe best fill those needs and guide you through the maze of establishing your plan. That is, after all, what you need an agent for. And, speaking of what you should expect from your agent, there are invariably problems that periodically occur with all carriers in the payment of claims, especially health insurance. Our agents ---- no, your agent --- will be available to help work with you and the carrier to resolve any claims problems, should they occur. Moreover, medical insurance rate increases are aggravating but an unfortunate fact of life. When they are announced, we will review your medical insurance plan, compare it to competing plans of similar design and contact you with our recommendations to stay with your current plan, switch to a different plan offered by the same carrier or move to a different carrier entirely. While you should always be responsible for your personal well being, we at Ramsgate Consulting believe that it is our responsibility to stay in touch with our clients and keep them informed of their best options.

American's Coming Health Care Oligopoly:  Can you say "insuragopoly"? How about "hospigopoly"? Then you better learn, because they describe how the health care system is changing under President Obama's health care reform legislation.

Health Overhaul May Mean Longer ER Waits, Overcrowding:  Rand Corp. researcher Dr. Arthur L. Kellermann predicts this from the new law: "More people will have coverage and will be less afraid to go to the emergency department if they're sick or hurt and have nowhere else to go.... We just don't have other places in the system for these folks to go."

5 PAINFUL HEALTH-CARE LESSONS FROM MASSACHUSETTS:  The best guide to how President Obama's historic health-care legislation will reshape the nation's medical marketplace and fiscal future is the pioneering model in Massachusetts. The Bay State's reform program started in late 2006, and it shares virtually all the major features of the new federal plan.

Dartmouth Study on Health Care Costs:  In selling the health care overhaul to Congress, the Obama administration cited a once obscure research group at Dartmouth College to claim that it could not only cut billions in wasteful health care spending but make people healthier by doing so.

OBAMACARE'S FUZZY MATH -- HIGH RISK POOLS WILL COST 8 TIMES WHAT IS BUDGETED:  One feature of the health overhaul that the President is touting as an immediate benefit is the expansion of so-called "high risk pools" for people who want to buy insurance but can't because of their poor health. The problem is that there's no way that $5 billion, which is what's been budgeted, will cover the cost of covering 2 million people. The real cost will be more like $40 billion.

RESCISSIONS:  MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING:  How many times have you heard President Obama say, "Health insurers won’t be able to drop your coverage just because you get sick?" Or Kathleen Sebelius? Or the Democratic leadership in Congress? Or the mainstream news media? You would think that the private health insurance industry was being revolutionized.

OBAMACARE’S HIDDEN TIME BOMB:  One of the quirks of ObamaCare is that most of its key provisions don't go into effect until 2014. But in any 2,300-page law, there are bound to be provisions that have immediate and unintended consequences. One such provision is Section 2718, entitled "Bringing Down The Cost Of Health Care Coverage."
